A man accused of burgling a house in Cleator Moor and stealing watches and jewellery will stand trial in March.
Anthony Callander, 51, appeared in front of a judge at Carlisle Crown Court earlier today.
Callander faces one charge of burglary. This alleges that having entered a bedroom of a home ay King George V Close in Cleator Moor as a trespasser, he stole two watches and a tin containing jewellery.
It is alleged this occurred on November 10 last year.
When the charge was put to him by a court clerk, Callander pleaded not guilty.
A timetable for the progression of the case was outlined.
Callander, of Queen Street, Cleator Moor, is now due to stand trial in front of a jury.
This hearing is due to start in the week of March 14, and Callander is remanded in custody in the meantime.
