Improve your skills with Leader 2 Leader course

A previous cohort of the Leader 2 Leader programme

Bursaries are now available to help senior leaders in SMEs, schools and third sector organisations in West Cumbria to improve their skills.

The bursaries are available through a collaboration between OneAIM, Sellafield Ltd and the Centre for Leadership Performance.

Expressions of interest for places on the upcoming cohort close on February 12.

Over eight months, delegates develop their leadership skills alongside other leaders, becoming part of a network they can turn to, even when the programme has been completed.

The programme maximises real-life learning opportunities by allowing delegates to examine and compare individual and business experiences.

It provides a platform for leaders to collaborate to produce solutions to key challenges and to put new learnings into practice.

Leader 2 Leader is designed by learning and development experts who have ‘walked the talk’ and worked as senior leaders, to bring together cutting-edge leadership learning with real-life business experience.

‘’The scheme gave us access to a leadership course that wouldn’t have otherwise been available,” said Lee Grears, group managing director at independent non-destructive testing and inspection specialist Responsive NDT.

CforLP executive director Catherine Eve said: “The Leader 2 Leader programme empowers business leaders to take on challenges they face in businesses, and upskilling leaders means West Cumbria businesses go from strength to strength and can empower their workforces.

“Cost can be a barrier to upskilling staff for small businesses, but the bursaries provided through OneAim and Sellafield Ltd broadens the pool of applicants and widens participation to support the success of the local economy and local communities.”

Schools, non-profit and third sector organisations and SMEs based in Copeland and Allerdale can apply for a place.
