A couple who run a South Cumbrian homecare business have been recognised nationally for their work.

Judy and Will Clay, who own Home Instead South Lakes, were named one of the Great British Franchisees in the Great British Franchisee Awards.

The awards recognise franchisees’ exceptional performance and business experience, ability to drive business growth, staff retention, customer satisfaction, community involvement, inspired leadership, and franchise involvement.

Judy and Will launched the business in 2018, providing care across the South Lakes including Kendal, Grange Over Sands, Kirkby Lonsdale, Windermere and Ambleside.

The company was delighted to have been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the highest possible rating for a care provider, at its first inspection.

They have also received awards from homecare.co.uk, the TripAdvisor of care, with rave reviews of their care placing them in the top 20 regional care providers for 3 consecutive years.

Judy said: “We are so thrilled to have been named Great British Franchisees. Will and I have put our all into launching this business and we are so proud of the success we have achieved.  This award is a testament to our wonderful team and the real difference that they make every day.”
