Firefighters were called after a one-vehicle collision near Cockermouth to help cut one of the occupants out.
Two fire engines attended the incident at Bewaldeth at about 4.30pm on Saturday, January 15.
The casualty was passed to paramedics for treatment.
Firefighters were detained for about 35 minutes.
