Casualty rescued at height in early hours in Whitehaven

Firefighters were called to rescue a casualty at height in the early hours in Whitehaven.

Three fire engines attended Irish Street at 1.17am yesterday.

The casualty was rescued using a triple extension ladder and ropes and was left in the care of paramedics.

Firefighters were at the scene for about 25 minutes.
