Bensons for Beds is celebrating a double anniversary at its Workington store as two workers are celebrating two decades with the firm.
Store manager Andi Dixon passed his 20 years of service in October and assistant manager Angela Chandler will hit the milestone later this year.
Both of them have spent their entire Bensons career at the Workington store, which relocated to Risman Place, Washington Square, in the town centre, three months ago, after 22 years at the Derwent Howe Industrial Estate.
Andi said: “Over two decades, we’ve built up a great relationship with customers.
“Angela and I both love our jobs and really enjoy meeting the customers. We must like working with each other too, otherwise we wouldn’t still be here!”
Andi and Angela work with Michael Talbot and Courtney Blay, who joined as sales advisers last year.
Bensons Alan Williams retail managing director said: “To have two people in the same store with us for a combined 40 years is a remarkable achievement and we’ll be celebrating in style to mark the occasion when Angela joins Andi and gets her 20 years’ award.”
Andi, who is originally from Cheshire, moved to Workington 28 years ago.
Angela, moved to Workington 37 years ago from Gretna Green and lives with partner Michael.
