
Fire crews were called after a two-vehicle collision near Keswick last night.
Two fire engines were called to the A66 at Threlkeld at the junction at Thirlmere at about 5.40pm .
It involved a Mercedes van, driven by a man and a Skoda car, driven by a woman.

Firefighters had to release the woman from the car and she was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle for treatment.
Crews were on the scene for around 90 minutes.
