A body has been found to the north of Carlisle.
Cumbria police said the male was found in the area of Blackford, close to Gretna Green, at around 4am.
Formal identification has not yet taken place and inquiries are ongoing.
The circumstances are not believed to be suspicious at this stage, police added.
