It was a very special day for three Penrith front row forwards when they played at Manchester on Saturday.
Adam Howe and Lee Chapman both played their 100th game of first team rugby while Craig Price made his 200th appearance!
They should have celebrated this unique hat-trick of milestones two weeks earlier in the last scheduled North One West fixture but opponents Bowdon pulled out after breaking down en route.
In this day and age, they are all praiseworthy achievements but quite a coincidence to all manage to hit their centenaries on the same day.
Adam Howe is joint captain this season with Jamie McNaughton and he started propping for the first team as soon as he turned 18.
He has just missed an odd game since then and says he intends to break the club appearance record, currently held by the Penrith team manager Mike Sanderson with 581 games!
Craig Price moved into the area in the 2011/12 season and broke into the first team when Keith Robinson was head coach.
He has played consistently ever since, which is why he’s got to 200 appearances.
Lee Chapman has been a great club stalwart who
captained and ran the 2nd team and just played odd games for the first team over the years.
However, he broke into the senior team five years ago and has been a fixture ever since.
Price and Chapman can operate at prop or hooker with Howe a specialist prop forward.
