Two West Cumbrian primary schools will remain closed due to COVID-19.
Crosscanonby St John’s School in Crosby was due to reopen today but Cumbria County Council said it would remain closed and was due to reopen on Thursday, March 24, due to the high number of staff illness because of coronavirus.
All Saints School in Cockermouth will remain closed until March 28 due to coronavirus.
Cumbria County Council said the primary school, on Slatefell Drive, was not able to reopen safely due to rapidly rising COVID cases among staff.
