A Cumbrian law firm has launched a podcast that tells businesses all they need to know about current legal issues.
Baines Wilson is taking its expert legal advice to the airwaves in a new podcast called Baines Explains.
The first episode features Joanne Holborn, head of employment law and training at Baines Wilson, discussing how the menopause affects employees in the workplace, what employers should be aware of, and how they can support staff members who are experiencing this.
Sean Logue, head of partnership at Baines Wilson, said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity to be able to do something like this for our clients and the wider business community.
“We hope that Baines Explains turns what can be complex issues into something our listeners find helpful and informative.”
“Podcasting is a new medium for us and are an easy way for businesses to access our expertise.”
Each week, one of the firm’s top solicitors will give listeners an overview of current developments and trends on a specific topic.
In episode two, employment partner Tom Scaife discusses mental health in the workplace. Elizabeth Black, head of dispute resolution and litigation, talks about the latest trends in dispute resolution in episode three. In episode four, solicitor Christopher Clayton talks about the impact of the pandemic on commercial property and insolvency. And, corporate partner, Jennifer Bell, covers why shareholder’s agreements are needed and the key clauses in commercial contracts in episodes five and six.
Baines Wilson is working with Cumbrian-based PR firm Intro on the production of the podcasts.
Baines Explains is hosted by local business journalist Julian Whittle.
To learn more about employment law, Baines Wilson is hosting three seminars on March 22, 29, and 31.
The first six episode season will be released weekly on a Saturday and can be found on Spotify and Apple Podcasts as well as the Baines Wilson website.
