A Workington nursery and infant school has closed due to COVID-19.
Victoria Infant and Nursery School, on Islay Place, is closed from this morning and is due to reopen on Wednesday, March 30, due to the high number of staff absences because of coronavirus infections.
A county council spokesman said: “For health and safety reasons the school is not safe enough to open due to high numbers of staff absence relating to COVID-19. This will be reviewed on Tuesday March 29.”
