UPDATE: Man airlifted to hospital with serious head injury
The A595 has now been cleared between Bigrigg and Egremont following a collision.
Police closed the road both ways between Dalzell Street at Bigrigg and the Clints Brow roundabout at the A5086 due to a serious collision, which happened at around 7am today, March 27.
But police now say the road has reopened.
