Penrith parkrun saw 273 participants took part in perfect conditions with 53 PBs on the day and a new course record.
Rose Gilldaley finished as 1st Female in a time of 19.45 leading an impressive number of junior performances on the day. Andrew Douglas from Inverclyde AC came home in 1st setting a new course record of 15.19.
Penrith organiser Andrew Richardson congratulated Andrew on a fantastic achievement, noting that he would struggle to achieve such a time even on a push bike.
A large group of runners were also out in force to raise awareness for the Parkinson’s UK charity. This was well supported with the runners wearing their Parkinson’s UK branded T-shirts and receiving huge support from both fellow runners and marshals out on the course.

Numbers continue to grow week on week after returning in 2021 after a lengthy lay off due to the COVID pandemic. All are welcome to join parkrun each Saturday morning at 9am to run, jog, walk or marshal with a team of local organisers on hand to support you all the way.
