A Carlisle man accused of a cocaine supply crime which is said to have been committed in the city’s Lanes shopping centre has appeared in court.
Lee Thomas Field, 38, faces a total of three charges.
One alleges the possession of cocaine with intent to supply; a second alleges being concerned in supplying the class A drug at the Lanes — almost 4g in weight at the Lanes complex, according to court papers; and acquiring criminal property, specifically £140 cash.
All charges date back to December 22 2019.
Field appeared in the dock at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court this morning. No pleas were entered to the three charges and he was represented by solicitor Anthony Wilson during the short hearing.
The district judge, John Temperley, committed Field’s case to the city’s crown court. He is due to appear there in front of a judge on May 5.
In the meantime he was granted bail on condition that he lives and sleeps each night at an address on Caslin Way in Carlisle; and also that he reports to a police station twice a week.
