Across Workington, players of the town’s centuries old game are getting ready in their bid to claim bragging rights in 2022.
The third game of the three-match Uppies and Downies series is set to start at 6.30pm on Saturday, April 23, at 6.30pm and it will be a grudge match like no other.
Downies won the first game on Good Friday, thanks to Aaron Lancaster, and Uppie Jamie Friel claimed the win on Saturday.
That means that it is all to play for in the last game – and we’ll be with you every step of the way.
