A liquid – believed to be petrol – was poured through the letterbox of a Workington home over the weekend.
Police are investigating the incident, which took place just after 8pm on Saturday, May 7 on Elterwater Avenue.
A man, described as white, with facial stubble and wearing all black clothing has then been disturbed at the rear of the same address later on in the evening at around 10pm. The man ran away from the scene on foot in the direction of Grasmere Avenue.
