Primary school closes due to health and safety during Appleby Horse Fair

Health and safety concerns during Appleby Horse Fair has prompted the closure of a town primary school.

Appleby Primary School, on Station Road, will close tomorrow, June 10.

Cumbria County Council said: “The closure is due to the health and safety of pupils travelling to and from school during Appleby New Fair.”
