The Pavilion at Rothay Manor in Ambleside

A Lake District hotel has unveiled its multi-million-pound extension that has been two years in the making.

Rothay Manor in Ambleside has worked with a top interior designer, Cumbrian architect Ben Cunliffe and Carnforth-based building firm JT Construction on The Pavilion – a new luxury addition to the venue.

Owners Jamie and Jenna Shail began the project in 2020 and demolished a bungalow in the hotel’s gardens.

Rothay Manor now has a new entrance, new guest car park and despite the pandemic and several severe storms – the new four luxury suites.

Jamie said: “Completing The Pavilion has been a real challenge, especially as we began just as the pandemic started to rear its head. For obvious reasons that then impacted on our intended schedule, but thanks to the dedication of all of those involved, we’ve realised our ambitious plans and have managed to complete the project.

“We are all immensely proud of what we’ve achieved, it’s taken a great deal of hard work to draw everything together, but it is more than worth it, and we are sure that our guests will genuinely appreciate what we have achieved in creating The Pavilion.”
