Barrow goalkeeper Scott Moloney has linked up on loan with the Northern Premier League side Guiseley until January 2.
The 22-year-old was with The Lions last season, and he also spent time on loan at South Shields.
He is now one of three goalkeepers at Guiseley, all of whom have been invited to make the number one spot their own in the season ahead.
Before going out on loan last season, Moloney made his debut for Barrow in the Papa John’s Trophy at Accrington Stanley and also enjoyed a brief outfield cameo in the same competition against Fleetwood Town.
He now returns to Nethermoor Park, something that Barrow boss Pete Wild was very keen on to ensure the shot stopper keeps developing and stays sharp.
Wild said: “It’s important as a young goalkeeper that he plays football matches.
“As a goalkeeper, he needs to be ready when called upon, and doesn’t have the luxury to be eased in, like with other positions.
“We see this as a massive part of his development and know we can call upon his services if needed.”
Moloney joined the Guiseley squad immediately ahead of today’s home friendly against Bury, and the deal includes a 24-hour recall clause.
