Hensingham’s three Under-16 debutants Ben Wren, Luca Hiddlestone and Dylan Bragg.

Egremont beat Hensingham 32-16 in an entertaining game with the respective A teams including a number of young players.

The Hollmen Iggesund CARL Division One game saw Hensingham actually blood three of their Under-16s and one of them, Dylan Bragg got the chance to play alongside his dad Dean.

Although he started the season with Maryport, the former Kells and Workington Town forward has switched to Hensingham to boost numbers as the A team has been struggling of late.

Dylan Bragg and dad Dean ahead of Hensingham’s game at Egremont.

Dylan had a very good game alongside his dad, as did Hensingham’s two other Under-16 debutants Luca Hiddlestone and Ben Wren.

Hensingham A, in fact, had led 12-8 at half-time but Egremont finished the game the stronger and scored six tries to the visitors’ three

The Egremont tries were scored by Nathan Preston, Darren Block, Kaiden Block, Lee Rogers, Liam Kirkbride and Henry Ogline-Brown. Rogers converted three and Dawson Webster also landed a goal.

The Hensingham tries came from Luca Hiddleston, Owen Street and Dean Bragg with David Bragg landing two conversions.
