Firefighters rescued a person from a house blaze in Whitehaven.
Two fire engines from the town’s fire station were called to Meadow Road at about 8.25pm last night, July 9, after they were alerted to the blaze.
The casualty was treated by firefighters for smoke inhalation.
Crews were at the scene for just over 30 minutes.
