Twenty-one people have been rounded up by police as part of a targeted crackdown on crime.
Operation Merlin was launched to identify suspects wanted for offences including harassment, burglary and fraud.
Officers executed several warrants across the county which resulted in 21 arrests.
Temporary Superintendent Jo Walker, of Cumbria Constabulary’s specialist capabilities department, said: “We work all-year-round to tackle criminality across all areas of crime impacting on our communities.
“This further disruption campaign was conducted by our specialist capabilities and neighbourhood policing teams, and underlines our commitment to supporting our law-abiding communities in tackling head-on those who commit crimes across Cumbria.
“The focus of this activity was rounding up wanted persons in our communities who thought they were above the law and the consequences. The enquiries carried out during the past week are done so each day to identify and locate those suspected of committing criminal offences in our county.
“Our message to criminals or those who may view Cumbria as location to commit offences is a simple one, we are committed to preventing the harm caused by crime and are tenacious in our work to bring offenders to justice.”
Cumbria Police and Crime Commissioner Peter McCall, said: “This week of action is a fantastic example of what the police do year-round to catch criminals that are still outstanding.
“The message is very clear – anyone who commits a crime in Cumbria will be caught and face the appropriate punishment.
“Criminals may think that they have gotten away with it, or that the police have forgotten, but the police have long memories and the message, to anyone who is wanted by them, is to come forward before the police come looking for you, as they surely will.
“The police work exceptionally hard to catch criminals and prevent reoffending but they cannot do it alone.”
People are urged to report incidents online at www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it or call 101.
