A £250 million five-year contract to look after equipment and infrastructure on the Sellafield site has been awarded.

OneAim, a partnership between Mitie and Jacobs, will be responsible for providing specialist services including the commissioning, installation, modification, and removal of the site’s equipment, which includes compressors, roofing, and electrical control panels.

The OneAim team will have full project implementation and management responsibilities, as well as co-ordinating with existing frameworks at Sellafield.

Mitie has had a relationship with Sellafield Ltd for almost 20 years, with an initial cleaning contract being awarded to the firm in 2003.

Over the past two decades, Mitie has been awarded the full integrated facilities management service contract.

Simon Venn, managing director of technical services at Mitie said: “Having delivered services to Sellafield for almost 20 years, we are very proud of the relationship we have built over this time.

“This contract win demonstrates our expertise and deep understanding of this sector and is testament to the ongoing hard work of the team. We look forward to continuing to work in collaboration with Jacobs as part of the OneAim joint venture to deliver exceptional services on this new framework.”
