Legendary RAF display team the Red Arrows had to pull out of an air show – but still flew over Cumbria today.
Photographer Jonny Gios caught them as they passed over Windermere this morning, July 23 and Cumbria Crack photographer Mark Regan saw them from a distance while he was at the Festival of Cycling in Silloth.
They were due to perform at Farnborough at 12.30pm on Friday but operational issues meant they could not.
It has been reported there have been potential issues with ejector seats on the aircraft. Unnecessary flying was stopped until the full implications are understood, but the Red Arrows could still fly to Prestwick and take part in a Scottish air show today.

Did you spot them on their way to Prestwick? We’d love to see your videos and photos – please email them to [email protected] and tell us where you were when they flew past!
