Barrow and Furness MP Simon Fell is embarking on a summer tour of his constituency to meet residents and hear their concerns.
He will begin on Monday August 15 and be on the road for five days, covering more than 200 miles,
It is the third year he has gone on a summer tour.
Mr Fell said: “I hold surgeries every week, but I can’t wait to get out of the office and meet as many constituents as possible. I hope that people who maybe otherwise wouldn’t think of contacting their local MP for help, will be able to take the opportunity to come and have a chat and let us help them out with whatever issue it is they’re facing.
“The last couple of years haven’t been without their challenges, not just as a result of the pandemic, but the weather was on form too!
“Regardless, it was lovely to meet so many people again last year, which is why I’m very happy to do it again.
“This year we’ve been able to book venues indoors, so that we’ll all be shielded from the elements and people will have a bit more privacy to discuss their cases with a caseworker and myself.”
No appointment is necessary, and the full programme can be viewed at https://www.simonfell.org/summer-surgery-tour-2022 or by calling the constituency office on 01229 314 220.
