Penrith will be hoping to complete a quick Cumbrian treble when they host Thornaby tonight.
The visitors to Frenchfield have already lost to Carlisle City in the Northern League and to Kendal Town in the FA Cup.
Penrith boss Darren Edmondson said: “They were one of the favourites for the league but I think they may have lost a few players and have lost all three matches so far.
“I thought we were a bit unlucky in our FA Cup defeat to West Allotment Celtic because we had two really good chances early on in the first 15 minutes.
“Now if one or both of them had gone in it would have changed the game. Instead we made a couple of mistakes and it cost us goals.
“It was doubly disappointing because everyone at the club was wanting to set up an all-Cumbria tie against Workington in the next round.”
Penrith, however, should be stronger against Thornaby with more options for the manager in picking his side.
“We have a few more bodies coming back in, because we were a few short on Saturday. That’s not an excuse, it’s just something you have to accept at our level around this time of the year.
“We played particularly well to win at Heaton Stannington last week so we will be looking for more of the same.
“But we are very much a team in transition, basically a young side who are hopefully learning and improving all the time,” said Edmondson.
