Police are appealing for information after youths were spotted targeting birds in a tree with a catapult.
Officers said they were investigating the incident, which took place on August 30 on Reeth Road.
There were two boys, it was reported and one was wearing a dark blue hoodie, black tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down the side and black trainers with a white logo on the side.
The second was described as wearing dark clothing. He had short brown hair and his coat had a red inner-lining.
