A body has been recovered during searches for a missing Carlisle pensioner.
Thomas Jardine, 82, went missing on Thursday, August 25.
A body was recovered from the River Eden in the city, near the Sheepmount playing fields, this afternoon, September 4.
The body has not yet been formally identified but the family of Mr Jardine has been made aware of developments.
A police spokesman said: “Cumbria Police would like to thank everyone who has assisted in the search for Mr Jardine over the past week.”
