The A65 was closed following a collision involving an ambulance.
The road was closed in both directions between Endmoor and Junction 36 of the M6 at the underpass after the incident, which took place outside the Crooklands Hotel, our colleagues at Cumbria Road Watch are reporting.
It has now reopened to traffic.
