A Cumbrian accountancy firm has been named among the top in the UK.
Lamont Pridmore has been ranked second in the Accountancy Age Mid-Tier Power Index 2022 – and was the only Cumbrian practice to be recognised.
The ranking, launched for the first time this year, is designed to place the spotlight on the UK accountancy industry’s top mid-tier practices. It is made up of only 40 of the nation’s best firms and has been judged by a team of industry experts.
Accountancy Age said that Lamont Pridmore had undertaken an ambitious shift towards advisory services in recent years and had as a result added considerable value to its clients’ businesses and their personal lives, differentiating them from the more traditional accountancy practices.
The firm was also recognised for its considerable support of the local community and businesses in Cumbria, as well as its drive to grow and develop its team of experienced professionals.
Graham Lamont, chief executive of Lamont Pridmore, said: “To be ranked in second place from all mid-tier firms in the UK is a real honour and an incredible achievement.
“Our commitment to proactive high-quality advice and our decision to branch out and develop new advisory services has attracted a number of new clients to the firm during a challenging period, which has clearly been recognised by the judges.”
The firm ranked in first place is based in London with over 325 staff.
Lamont Pridmore is no stranger to awards, having previously won numerous trophies for its accounting work across the UK and around the world.
“This latest achievement would not be possible without the support and hard work of our staff, who continue to go above and beyond for our clients,” added Graham.
