Helen Skelton has revealed the dance she will perform on this week’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The former Blue Peter presenter shared a video ‘rehearsal diary’ from professional dance partner Gorka Marquez’s Instagram page, where the duo confirm they’ve been training to perform a Cha-Cha-Cha this Saturday night.

Wednesday marked the last day of rehearsals for the pair, and Helen said she was feeling nervous ahead of the next show.

She added: “It makes me very nervous, but I think we just have to put ourselves in a positive mindset.”

Gorka said the Cha-Cha-Cha was a fast, fun and stressful dance, but that he felt they had ‘got it’ despite it being difficult for them to nail.

Helen, who was raised in Kirkby Thore, said: “My feet are bleeding but my brain is worse!”

Earlier this week, Helen took to social media to share how her dancing shoes had left her feet sore, but that she was loving every second of her Strictly journey so far.

The pair also confirmed they will be filming for Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two today, a companion show that goes behind the scenes and features backstage gossip and drama from the rehearsal rooms.

The duo have been rehearsing in Penrith, with some eagle-eyed fans spotting them leaving sessions together.
