Electricity has been restored to homes in Workington.
At around 1pm today, November 6, 6,410 properties were hit by a power cut.
Within 40 minutes, 2,049 had electricity restored.
Electricity North West said it was caused by an unexpected incident on the high voltage cable. An engineering team was sent out to carry out repairs.
At 5pm, the company said all properties had their power back.
