
Two memorials to the fallen of Maryport were damaged in the run-up to Remembrance Day.
The black metal silhouettes, dubbed silent soldiers, were erected in Memorial Gardens to mark the 100th anniversary of World War I, were damaged overnight on November 9.
It is reported that youths were seen in the area, police said.
