A shop in Whitehaven had its window smashed in the early hours of Monday.
The shop, on Duke Street, was raided at around 2am and police said the offender was described as a white man, who was wearing a light-coloured beanie hat, light-coloured jacket, dark jeans and dark trainers.
Two people were seen speaking to this man immediately after this incident.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward in assisting to identify the offender in this case.
