Workington fanciers Morris and Wayne McLuckie were the most points winners in the four-show series held by Flimby HS.

The brothers picked up 30 points, finishing off last night with three tickets in a class of 67 young hens which were judged by Ian Sharples.

There was £139.50 prize money which included a £20 judges special and £61 nom.

The tickets were awarded as follows:

  • 1st Bromley & Co
  • 2nd Bromley & Co
  • 3rd McLuckie Bros
  • 4th Tinnion & Aitken
  • 5th McLuckie Bros
  • 6th Nelson & Crellin
  • 7th Tinnion & Aitken
  • 8th McLuckie Bros

Flimby HS will now be holding two show races. The first is for any age cock next Wednesday, December 7 and is for the longest inland race. £3 per entry

And the second, a week later, is for any age hen and is for the first channel race and is £5 entry per bird.

Ring numbers of entries for the races must be brought on the night, however the race birds don’t need to be in the show.
