Carlisle United have had a new date confirmed for their League Two fixture against Hartlepool United.
Former Blues boss Keith Curle, recently confirmed as Pool manager until the end of the season, will be back at Brunton Park on Tuesday, January 24.
The game was due to be played on Saturday, January 7 but Hartlepool will now play Stoke City that weekend in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup.
The FA Cup run has been a fruitful diversion for the north east side but the main priority for Curle is to keep the club in the Football League.
It won’t have gone un-noticed that Oldham and Scunthorpe, the two sides relegated last season, are now the bottom pair in the National League – it can be a deadly trap-door.
Carlisle have already beaten Hartlepool this season in the away fixture which finished 3-1 on October 8, one of Curle’s first games in charge.
