Bradford City boss Mark Hughes is concerned about a bug in the camp ahead of the Boxing Day visit to Carlisle United.
It comes at a time when the Bantams haven’t played for 21 days and before that had lost three in a row – Northampton and Leyton Orient in League Two and Salford in the Football League Trophy.
Speaking to the club website Hughes said: “There’s been a little bit of illness about and a number of guys have had that.
“A couple of them have missed a day’s training, so hopefully that won’t go right through the group. It’s just one or two days and one or two individuals that it’s just affected this week.”
But the manager admits it will be a case of fingers crossed it doesn’t spread.
Consecutive weekend postponements have kept City on the sidelines and allied to the losing run it’s not the best time to be taking on a promotion rival – and one that got a much- needed game under their belts on Tuesday.
Defender Romoney Critchlow, on loan from Huddersfield Town, will be hoping to figure having been named in last week’s home game with Rochdale, only for it to be postponed.
