Workington Comets have almost completed their 2023 line-up after signing Yorkshire-based brothers Harry and Sam McGurk.
It leaves only more place to fill ahead of their relaunch next season in the National Development League.
The latest announcement from promoter Andrew Bain is to confirm that the McGurk brothers will be joining the Comets after both have raced regularly at National League level for the last two seasons.
Harry, the elder of the pair, although still only 19, actually made his debut in the National League for Cradley Heathens in 2019 where after a difficult start grew in confidence as the season progressed and was looking forward to joining Belle Vue Colts in 2020 until the season was curtailed due to the COVID pandemic.
Retained by Belle Vue for 2021 he has completed the last two seasons with the Colts making steady progress over that time.

He took on a heat leader role in 2022 with an average over 10 points a meeting, including bonus points, around his home circuit.
Competing in the British Under-19s final at Redcar this year he secured a fine third place finish, scoring a creditable 11 points, before going on to defeat Sam Hagon and Nathan Ablitt in a run off.
Along with his brother Sam, Harry has appeared at the old Northside track on numerous occasions and the pair always have a fine support network around them.
He will be looking to continue his consistent progress this year with a view to stepping up into a regular Championship team place following an initial spell in the reserve slot with Plymouth last season where he completed 12 meetings for the Gladiators.
Harry starts his Comets career in one of the heat leader roles with an average of 7.11.
Younger brother Sam was also on the championship trail in 2022 claiming the 500cc British Youth Championship after winning the first three rounds.
He had also tasted success as a junior at 125cc level in 2017 and 2018 and has made many previous appearances at Northside in practice sessions and under-15 Championship meetings held at the venue.
As one of the stand-out juniors of the British Junior Championship over recent years he joined brother Harry in the Belle Vue Colts team for the 2021 season.

A string of strong performances saw him rise out of the reserve berth to claim the number one race-jacket for a spell, although a bad leg break ended his season early.
Back to full fitness, although racing with the metalwork still in place on his leg, he returned to the Colts for a second season returning an average of over 5 points although when taking his impressive tally of 22 bonus points from 64 rides that figure rises to something approaching the 7-point mark.
He has recently undergone successful planned surgery to remove the metalwork from the broken leg.
Sam is now back in training for the new season, eager to get back on the bike and will start with the Comets on an average of 5.38 points.
