
Penrith face a busy week after opening their Northern League campaign on Saturday with a good draw at West Auckland.
They play their first home game tomorrow when they entertain Birtley and are back in action on Friday night at Pickering in the FA Cup.
The game is being played on the Friday because Pickering share with the cricket club who have a game on Saturday.
Manager Jim Nichols only had three players over the age of 23 at West Auckland and there were several teenagers in the ranks.
That inexperience might have contributed to the fact they conceded two late goals in the last 15 minutes when they had been heading for victory at 2-0.
Werst Auckland are being tipped for honours this season so it was still a promising result for the Cumbrians.
