A Carlisle shoplifter has been banned from several city stores for five years.
Stewart Brown, 26, was sentenced to four weeks in prison for shoplifting when he appeared at Carlisle Magistrates Court.
Magistrates also handed Brown, of Ridley Road, a community behaviour order.
The order means he is banned from entering:
- Any premises part of the Carlisle Shopwatch/Retailers against crime scheme
- The Range, Currock Road, Carlisle
- McColls, Blackwell Road, Carlisle
- Tesco, Warwick Road, Carlisle
Breaching the terms of an order is an offence which carries a sentence of up to five years in prison.
