Workington Comets have landed a plum tie in the semi-final of the KO Cup.

They will face the current holders Leicester home and away with dates still to be confirmed.

Only the four clubs without a senior team are involved in the KO Cup so Kent and Mildenhall will contest the other semi-final.

Mildenhall have confirmed their fixture list for the upcoming NDL campaign has been put together with additional time for track preparation in mind.

The Fen Tigers will open on April 2 at West Row against Kent, the first of four early clashes with the Royals as the clubs have also been drawn together in the KO Cup semi-final.

The club commented: “To add some context to our fixture list, we have worked with the stadium and are grateful for their help in allowing all our home fixtures as they stand to be on non-Stock Car weekends, allowing considerably more time for track preparation.

“Fixture lists are always difficult to sort, especially in recent times, and the owners would like to go on record thanking Kent Royals for their help and support with getting the Cup fixtures arranged early.

“It’ll certainly make for a fascinating first month of the campaign to be taking on our local rivals on four successive April Sundays.”
