Carlisle City took back a point after going behind 2-0 inside 20 minutes at Seaham Red Star.
Manager Jim Nichols admitted at that stage he would have snatched a hand off to finish with a draw.
“As it turned out we probably should have won it but from that posirion I suppose it has to be a good point.
“Seaham are near the bottom and fighting for their lives and they really flew out of the blocks.
“Their first goal was one of those that can happen when a ball is played in from wide and seems to go past everyone and sneak in the far corner.
“They then scored a second two minutes later and we really hadn’t started.
“Fortunately we quickly pulled ourselves together and Jordan Palmer scored a well taken goal from the edge of the area.
“In the second half we were the dominant side and after Keighran Kerr scored a very good header to get us level there was only one side who looked like winning but we just couldn’t find another goal.
“We have had a run of away games and travel again next week so I think out of the last 15 games we have ten at home so we are hoping for another big finish to the season.”
