
A man has appeared in court in connection with a break-in at a South Cumbrian home which resulted in two cars being stolen.
The burglary took place at around 2.40am on Saturday, February 11, on Helsington Drive in Kendal.
Intruders forced their way into the home before making off with two cars parked on the driveway.
Police arrested four men in connection with the burglary investigation. Three of those men have been bailed with conditions not to enter Cumbria, while officers continue with their investigations.
The fourth man – Jason Liddell, 33, of Stonecrop Place, Ayr, Scotland, has been charged with burglary with theft and two counts of theft of motor vehicle.
He was remanded to attend Barrow Magistrates’ Court yesterday, February 14, where he was remanded until his next court date on March 17 at Carlisle Crown Court.
