
A man has died in a collision near Carlisle airport.
The incident happened at around 8am yesterday, February 18, on the A689 near to Carlisle Airport.
It involved a silver Kia Picanto and a white Land Rover.
As result of the collision, the male driver of the Kia died at scene.
The male driver of the Land Rover was taken to Carlisle’s Cumberland Infirmary to be treated for minor injuries.
The road was closed for several hours.
