Information is wanted after a sofa was found fly-tipped at the side of an A road in the Lake District.
The piece of furniture was left just off the A65 behind The Helm, a hill that overlooks Oxenholme.
South Lakeland District Council shared photos of it on social media.
“Fly-tipping is a serious offence,” said an SLDC spokesman. “Prosecution can carry an unlimited fine or imprisonment.

“Householders could also receive a criminal record and be fined up to £400 if their rubbish is illegally dumped by an unlicenced waste carrier.”
Members of the public are asked to email [email protected] if they have information that could help the council.
