
A man will appear in court charged with several offences following an incident on a South Cumbrian road.
The A590 was closed for several hours during the morning of Thursday, April 6 as police investigated the incident, which happened at about 3am.
Police issued a statement saying a man from Bishop Auckland has been charged with several offences in connection with the incident at the Greenodd roundabout.
Gavin Aldworth, 38, of St Marks Court, Bishop Auckland, has been charged with robbery, common assault on an emergency worker and aggravated vehicle taking.
He will appear at South Cumbria Magistrates tomorrow, Saturday April 8.
