Barrow have announced the creation of a new B team to launch for the beginning of the 2023/24 season.

The club is inviting all players aged 17 to 19 to register to take part in B Team trials on Sunday May 7, with manager Pete Wild, sporting director Iain Wood and all coaching staff in attendance.

Wood said: “The club want to create a sustainable pathway for local talent to be able to have the opportunity to play for their hometown club.

“The creation of the B team will provide players with a platform to make the step into playing within the English Football League and all successful players will benefit from training full time alongside our first team squad within our existing facilities in Manchester.

“All participants wanting to trial must complete an application form on the club website before Saturday April 29.

“We will then be contacting successful players with the details of the event.”
