Drivers are urged to take care this morning after Cumbria was battered by high winds overnight.
Roads were closed after trees fell and this morning, our colleagues at Cumbria Roadwatch are warning that debris remains in the road.
Strawberry How Road in Cockermouth was closed to the junction with Lorton Road due to falling trees and in Stainburn, Workington, high winds also brought down a tree. Cumbria police closed the road until chainsaws were used to clear the tree.

Scaffolding also came down overnight in Maryport – but the road has since been cleared.
Similar reports came in across the county overnight, including a tree uprooted in Lediard Avenue in Currock, Carlisle.
