The A595 is open to traffic following a collision near Mirehouse Road.
The road was partially blocked from the Westlakes Science Park entrance at Moor Row to Homewood Road – the Hensingham roundabout, Mirehouse, Whitehaven.
Police said the incident had now been cleared and traffic had returned to normal.
